Quoting the lines of Anna Quindlen, “The life you have led, doesn’t need to be the only life you have”, I can say I felt that after returning from my trip to Himachal Pradesh.
No! Initially, the trip was not on my bucket list so you must be thinking what made me travel all of a sudden? Right?
Let me tell you a story from a few months back, on a usual day I was working with one of my friends cum colleagues and on one fine afternoon, we caught glimpse of an image on the desktop background. Looking closely we saw a beautiful image of a river flowing surrounded by hills and dense pine forests all around. Shortly after, she told me that the image was not at all downloaded but was clicked by her brother when he last visited Himachal. Deep down the aisle, we both started imagining when we could visit the place ourselves too and looked at each others face. It was past five minutes we were drowned in our thoughts, checking the other clicks and chattering. Yaah! We know we time travelled a bit in our imaginations while thinking about what will be our experiences if we can visit the place.
Since that day the unheard stories about the places there and the mesmerising pictures were in our gossips more often and it became fully occupied in our heads. Followed by, when we heard that our brother will be on a short trip to the destination very soon, we thought of joining him too! After hearing this we too buckled up and conveyed our wishes for joining him on his trip. He gave a friendly response and said yes but the other complexities remained as we were not equipped with the necessities we needed during the trip and most importantly to ask permission from our parents for allowing us. Now, it was time to get our parents' approval for our first trip in order to make sure that they won’t be worrying about us while we will be on the trip during that period.
Therefore, from experiences gathered by me, from this particular trip has enlightened me to share my experiences with every individual who still thinks that they are not capable of doing so, as it’s only the memory that stays while time flies away. So according to me, one should always "attempt", it's not necessary to win every time. Instead, one should be urged to learn from their experiences which once lead to failure in order to improve themselves and be satisfied with oneself. Today, I can say that my experiences not only inspired me but encouraged me to seize the opportunity in every little step we all have taken together to learn new things, explore different cultures, their lifestyle and enjoy the beautiful moments in life.
